About Us

Cuthbert Homes is a specialist building contracting organisation delivering high specification residential projects for private clients.

The company has been in existence since 2017 under the name NCS Group Developments Ltd but was renamed Cuthbert Homes Ltd in 2021, however the company remained ‘dormant’ until 2023.

Prior to this NCS Ltd had undertaken all residential type projects alongside its other projects in other operating sectors.

It became obviously apparent that our work in the residential sector needed to have its own identity, and so in 2023 Cuthbert Homes Ltd went ‘live’!

We wanted to provide our clients with a dedicated service with a team that could focus on delivering projects with an outstanding level of professionalism, quality of workmanship and standard of finish to the highest specification.

Relying on our extensive experience gained since NCS Ltd was formed 2002 and ‘leaning into’ our well-established trade skills, particularly those required on heritage type projects and period properties we now have a dedicated focus on delivering projects in the private residential sector that require outstanding performance, service, and quality.

Over the years we have developed a strong capability to deliver projects on private client’s properties that include conversions, extensions, alterations, and new builds.

We recognise that these projects can be a huge investment both financially and emotionally and we work hard to meet those demands – we want Cuthbert Homes to be synonymous with ‘High End Quality’! something that both our clients and we are proud of.

Higham Dykes Hall

Milbourne, Northumberland

This project initially involved the construction of a new single skin blockwork garage with Siberian larch cladding, electrical installation, garage door and minor external works.

As the project progressed additional works were instructed and undertaken which included:

Security installations
Replacement tiling to adjacent building
Provision of bespoke timber stores
Sash window replacement
Hard landscaping works
Investigation and repairs to the existing heating system

The works were carried out while the building was occupied and required careful and sensitive planning and control of the works.

Holly Cottage

Humshaugh, Northumberland

This project involved the removal of an existing conservatory, construction of a new conservatory and replacement windows to an existing dwelling.

The works also included:
